About Maze Runner
The Maze Runner ran three films from 2014 to 2018 adapting Dashner's trilogy in order. The Maze Runner traps Thomas in the Glade, The Scorch Trials from 2015 crosses the desert ruins, and The Death Cure from 2018 storms the Last City for the cure.
The story is complete on film with no cliffhanger left open, though a reboot has been reported in development. The books continue with prequels like The Kill Order that the films never touched, so readers get extra lore rather than a missing ending. Thomas keeps running from the first maze to the last city wall.
Good to know
Watch the three films in release order, since each escape leads directly into the next trial. Story order matches release order exactly, so one list covers the run. The reported reboot carries no date or cast, which keeps the original trilogy as the full watchable set, and the prequel novels stay optional extras.
