About Michelangelo Antonioni

Michelangelo Antonioni started with Story of a Love Affair in 1950 shot on Milan streets with Lucia Bose in a blackmail trap, I Vinti in 1953 and Le Amiche in 1955 in Turin circles. Il Grido arrived in 1957 with roaming worker Steve Cochran.

LAvventura came in 1960 with island loss, La Notte in 1961, LEclisse in 1962 with Rome exchange and Red Desert in 1964 in color fog. The run stars Monica Vitti across the trilogy with Jeanne Moreau, Alain Delon and Marcello Mastroianni. Blow-Up followed in 1966 in London with photo doubt. Later color work sits outside this core list. Antonioni died in 2007. Watch in release order for space and wait growth with full weight.

Good to know

These are standalone stories with no shared continuity, so there is no chronological order to untangle at all. LAvventura, La Notte and LEclisse form an informal trilogy of mood but no plot links. Blow-Up closes this core run as English turn. Start with Avventura, Red Desert or Blow-Up for three doors in with care.
