About The Expanse
The Expanse adapts James S.A. Corey with Holden's crew on the Rocinante between Earth, Mars and Belt. Season 1 ran 10 episodes from December 14, 2015 on Syfy covering Levi's Wake. Seasons 2 and 3 ran 13 episodes each in 2017 and 2018 through the Ring opening. Syfy cancelled it, then Amazon ordered Seasons 4 to 6.
Season 4 ran 10 episodes in 2019 on Ilus, Season 5 ran 10 in 2020 with Marco's rocks, Season 6 ran 6 in 2021 to 2022 closing the Free Navy war. The books continue to Laconia past the show. No seventh season has been ordered, so 2022 ends the screen run with a setup tease.
Good to know
Broadcast order is the only order, since protomolecule rules layer each year. The Syfy to Amazon move changes pacing but not continuity, so do not skip Season 3's Ring. Books 7 to 9 sit beyond the show and should follow after if wanted. With 62 episodes total, this is a dense system war that needs sequence. The 2022 finale works as a pause rather than a full book close.
