About Taina
Taina follows Latina teen Taina Morales chasing fame at Manhattan arts school with Renee across two seasons. Season 1 from 2001 sets the audition plots, the Lamar rivalries, and the first gigs.
Season 2 from 2001 to 2002 moves to the record deal push and finale. Watch in release order since gigs stack. The run closed in 2002 with no revival announced. Christina Vidal stars as Taina with Khaliah Adams as Renee and Chris Knowings as Lamar. The Nickelodeon run uses stage tryouts, music video cuts, and family plots. Maria Perez Brown created the series. Set at Manhattan High School of the Arts.
Good to know
There is no separate chronological order for Taina worth listing, since release order matches the school years from auditions to deal. The dream monologues repeat, but the Renee bond needs season 1 first. Watch both seasons straight through for the full Taina arc. The run totals 26 episodes with English audio and music in each story.
