About The Paper
The Paper follows the documentary crew from Dunder Mifflin to the Toledo Truth-Teller. Greg Daniels and Michael Koman create, with Domhnall Gleeson as editor Ned Sampson and Sabrina Impacciatore as managing editor. Oscar Nunez returns as Oscar Martinez. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant produce.
Ten episodes dropped September 4, 2025 as a binge after a planned weekly rollout was scrapped on strong reviews. Season 2 was renewed September 3, a day before premiere. NBC re aired season 1 Mondays that fall. The villain here is the internet, per Daniels.
Good to know
Watch season 1 episodes 1 through 10 in order, then wait for season 2. The binge order is the intended path after the rollout switch. Oscar return lands early and frames the crew handoff. Season 2 has no air date as of October 2026. Start at episode 1, the Truth-Teller setup carries everything after.
